Dr. Cathaya is a Specialist General Practitioner, having graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2015. Cathaya loves providing exceptional care to her patients, making her an excellent fit to the Eleanor Clinic team. Prior to deciding on a career in General Practice she trained at the Royal Hobart Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Royal Women’s Hospital, giving her a solid foundation in skills essential to the wide field of General Practice. Cathaya's special interests include child and adolescents health and she also works at Headspace where she provides care to young people with a focus on mental health. Further interests include Women’s health (including pregnancy planning and early pregnancy care), sexual health and contraception advice. She is accredited for Implanon insertion and removal. When not working or studying you will likely find Cathaya curled up on a comfy couch enjoying a good book or film! Dr Cathaya welcomes patients who are seeking gender affirming care.
