Eleanor Clinic

High-Quality Care You Can Trust

Welcome to Eleanor Clinic

At Eleanor Clinic, your health is given time, attention, and clinical depth.

We provide comprehensive, evidence-based general practice in a welcoming and friendly environment.

Better care takes time.

Our fee structure reflects the time, expertise, and continuity required to deliver safe, thorough medical care.

Private Billing for Quality Care

Eleanor Clinic is a private billing practice. Payment on the day is expected.

Payment is required on the day of consultation. A gap fee applies to most appointments.

This supports care that is:

  • Unhurried and thorough
  • Clinically detailed and evidence-based
  • Delivered with continuity over time
  • Supported by experienced doctors and staff
  • Provided in a safe, well-resourced clinic

Why there is a gap

To provide safe, comprehensive care, additional time and clinical resources are required.

The gap fee allows us to maintain care that is:
thorough, considered, and not rushed.

Fees reflect time and complexity

Consultations vary significantly.

A simple issue requires different time and clinical reasoning than:

  • Chronic or multiple conditions
  • Mental health care
  • Preventative health planning
  • Complex decision-making

Fees are based on consultation time and complexity to ensure fairness and appropriate care for all patients.

What your fee supports

Your consultation directly enables:

  • Longer appointment times
  • Careful clinical assessment
  • Preventative and ongoing health planning
  • Experienced doctors and clinical support
  • High-quality, safe practice systems

Independent doctors

Doctors at Eleanor Clinic are independent practitioners.

Fees may vary depending on:

  • Doctor
  • Appointment length
  • Clinical complexity
  • Procedures or additional services

Indicative fees are shown at booking. Final fees may vary if additional time or care is required.

Access and support

We recognise that healthcare needs and circumstances differ.

Where appropriate, we support access through:

  • Telehealth consultations
  • Online prescriptions and referrals
  • Same-day urgent appointments (when available)
  • Bulk billing for eligible Chronic Disease Management Plans and Health Assessments (at doctor discretion)

Speak with your GP about whether a care plan may be appropriate for ongoing conditions.

Also the Medicare Safety Net helps reduce out-of-pocket costs for GP visits and some tests once your family’s annual medical expenses reach a set threshold. After that point, Medicare pays a higher rebate for eligible services, so you pay less for ongoing care.

It’s important to register all family members under one Medicare Safety Net family group (including partners and children), because otherwise your expenses are counted separately and it can take much longer to reach the threshold.

How to register:

  • Go to your Medicare online account via myGov
  • Select “Safety Net” or “Family Registration”
  • Add all family members linked on Medicare cards
  • Or call Medicare and ask them to register your family for the Safety Net

Once registered, all eligible medical costs are automatically combined for your household.

We will always aim to support continuity of care where possible.
